CKD extraction pumps
offering a very low NPSH have a semi-open impeller and are directly connected (flanged) to the pre-separator without any piping. Shaft seals (normally packings) are externally flushed to ensure the lubrication and avoid an air leakage when the pump is running dry.

standard materials
STD = casted stainless steel impeller, cast iron casing
SS4 = impeller and casing in casted stainless steel (AISI 304 / 1.4308)
SS6 = impeller and casing in casted stainless steel (AISI 316 / 1.4408)

often supplied with a swing-out feature for the easy inspection of the pump and quick access to the pre-separator.
